How Beacon Got Its Start
Founding partners Karyne Bazzano and Jim Bandera first met working sales routes in Downtown Boston. Karyne for Coors Brewing Company, and Jim for United Liquors. Both rose quickly through the ranks before their paths diverged.
Karyne, a serial entrepreneur has built successful companies in a variety of sectors including consumer engagement, importing, sports marketing and product development including WedgE, the Ultimate Slicer.
Jim, a creative thinker with strong leadership skills, went on to hold positions in national sales, advertising, marketing strategy, and content and business development. Jim established himself as a corporate executive who creates value and generate profits for both established and start-up companies.
In 2013 their paths converged. Jim, ever the visionary and never having lost his passion for the beverage business had an idea for a breakthrough marketing company tailored to meet the needs of the 3-tier distribution system. A company that included not just sampling, but merchandising, event creation, distribution, sales and more. Jim shared his vision with Karyne and in 2013 Beacon Brand Solutions was established.
